Mama’s Soup for the Soul

A simple yet, nutritious delicious soup. Mama’s soup has nutritional value with several ingredients that include immune system boosting foods.  

Mama’s Soup Recipe

Ideally, large 20 Quart Stock Pot will be needed (soup for a family 4-8).

4-6 Potatoes and dice each potato into four pieces (season the potatoes with ½ teaspoon of sea salt and ½ teaspoon of dried parsley)

Add two tsp of vegetable oil into the pot, low heat, lightly fry the potatoes for approximately 5 minutes

Slowly Add 4-6 cups of water into the pot

Turn heat up to medium, cook potatoes slowly

4-6 cups of fresh kale, clean and add into soup

1 clove of garlic, cut small pieces and add into soup

¼ of fresh onion, cut into small pieces and add into soup

½ large tomato, cut into small pieces and add into soup

1 spoon of Olive Oil

½ teaspoon of pepper

1/2 cut of fresh green pepper, cut into small pieces and add into soup

½ cut of  fresh red pepper, cut into small pieces and add into soup

2 Celery stalks cut into small pieces and add into soup

Taste the soup first, if needed,  add additional sea salt to your liking

Allow the above mention to boil for approximately 40 minutes – if need be, add an additional cup of water.

****If you consume meat, clean lean chicken breast with either lemon or vinegar.

Cut and dice 1-2 pounds of chicken breast

Season chicken breast to your liking with garlic powder, sea salt, black pepper, parsley, paprika and onion powder.  

You can either cook chicken in separate pan for 10 mins then add the diced chicken into the soup and let it cook with the above mentioned ingredients OR you can add the seasoned chicken into the soup and let it cook between 40-60 minutes with the above mentioned ingredients.
